Magaly`s Mexican Restaurant in Benson

The food was really good. My wife had the Tortilla soup while I enjoyed a combo plate. The service was very friendly but a tad on the slow side. Will do it again.

Love the feel of this place. The service is great! The food is good too. Everything was hot and the water was ice cold and perfect.

Girlfriend says the margaritas were awesome and I found the combination plate to be terrific. If you are visiting Tombstone or just passing through, do yourself a favor and try this Mexican restaurant. It was fantastic and the service was great. A++

When traveling Interstate 40 in Benson Arizona and you are looking for a great Mexican restaurant to eat, you need to stop at this place. It is less than 3 miles off the Interstate. It has tasty Mexican fare with outstanding customer service. You will be glad you dropped in.

Spent the morning in Wilcox at Annie’s farm. Next stop was lunch, which was not so easy to find amid COVID. So glad I found Magaly’s!! Great food, great service...very nice people. It’s a must try. I’ll be back next time I’m in the area.

5 Stars and Gold Stars for each item!Salsa, 2 types, loved the hot! A smokey tomatillo with some fire! The fire that makes you want more!Jalapeno Cheese Crisp! Not under or over cooked! Perfectly crisp and jalapenos perfectly arranged with enough for one in each bite!Chile relleno, perfect, creamy, deliciousness in every bite! A-B-SOLUTELY B-E-A-UTIFUL Green Chile Chimichanga...To die for! Tender chunks of beef and fresh tasty green chillies!The best part is the extra wait for your food is because they bake your plate in the oven to melt the cheese and your food comes piping hot and stays warm! I love that old school attitude of a restaurant that takes the time to add a little extra!We.......WILL BE RETURNING next time we're in Benson!

This place was fabulous. The only thing better than the food was the service. Great job to everyone that works there. 👍

Excited that they are back open and the place is beautiful. They took the down time to paint and organized the dining Room in a safe and caring manner for people to eat. It is decorated nicely so as to make you comfortable. And, of course the food is still excellent especially the chili relleno , cheese crisps and staff!!

Absolutely wonderful! Best chili rellenos. Ordered a strawberry margarita which was fantastic. Service great. Don't pass this restaurant.

Best Mexican food I have had in a long time. The gentlemen and ladies were nice. The food was excellent. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone and everyone. I will definitely be coming back to enjoy more food from this awesome restaurant.

The staff are on point and work together as far as customer service. It was good Mexican food. Served hot. Salsa had hot "was hotttt!" and mild "had a bit of a tangy hot after taste". Now the pièce de résistance was the fried ice cream. Just get it and I challenge you to eat it first before your main course. Drinks were always refilled. Chile green a red were not spicy hot. The 3 stars were because its too pricey $$$. It's good not great Mexican food.

Really good food. We had Chicken Molé and Albondigas. The next night we had pizole and quesadilla (beef and chicken).

We went basic with shredded beef tacos. They didn’t have carnitas which is usually our staple. Didn’t knock my socks off but it was tasty. The kid ordered a cheese quesadilla but got beef...so she picked around it, but I tried it and it was awesome, she just doesn’t like beef that much. The refried beans were also tasty. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Benson and in the mood for Mexican.

We ordered take out for our 25th anniversary supper the food was delicious and was hot and the little gal even 5 hours later when I stopped to get our food greeted me by name and wished me a very happy anniversary. We will definitely order from there again and done there when they are allowed to have done in.

Great prices But more importantly great food speedy customer service also

The pursuit of quintessential enlightenment exposes many to unlikely solutions. Recreation. Travel. Music. But for me and my party of one, we concur on Magaly's chicken mole. To say that this dish and its maker have challenged my preconception of Mexican dining is a grievous understatement. Magaly's mole is the finest chocolate sauce North of the border.I don't know who invited Chef Ramsay to wreak carnage in previous reviews, but as one who appreciates the simple things in life, me and my mole are here to stay. But seriously this stuff is bomb. 5 stars.

Only had one waitress and a hostess but the service was phenomenal and the food was unforgettable. I've worked in a Mexican restaurant and it's authentic. Will definitely recommend to others and make other visits myself.

Great place to eat. Never have had a problem with the staff. Always on top of everything, and the hot salsa is fantastic.

I ordered a sweet tea and the chicken mole plate. It was amazing! The tea was sweet like it is suppose to be. The mole sauce had a sweet and not a spicy flavor. Rice and beans were good and salsa was spicy just the way I like it. Great service from the male waiter we had. I recommend taking a stop by for some Mexican food and order the chicken mole. You will not regret it.

Excellent meal! Love the lighter enchiladas made with masa. Wonderful staff.The drive through the San Pedro Valley to get to Benson form Sierra Vista is always stunning and majestic. Definitely try to swing by here again. Well done folks!

High price for cheap food, could tell it was bought from the frozen section of a store. Hot sauce from a can. With the Covid -19 employees did not abide/follow the virus safely rules. The did not wear mask or gloves. We will never again go to this restaurant. Very unhappy clients.

Everyone that works here are amazing! The owner is one of the sweetest persons that I know. Everyone from my family has worked there. And lots of friends to. The food is amazing. Always comes out fast and delicious.

They have very good red chile con carne. The beans taste homemade and the Spanish rice was very tasty. Excellent attentive service, very friendly. Margaritas are tasty too.

It was ok. We were a party of 5. The service was great. No problem there. The food was edible. I got tacos and wasn't expecting store bought taco shells. Oh well. My food wasn't even hot. The guy tells me to be careful because the plate was hot but it wasn't. He brought 4 out and left mine behind. Overall it was ok for being in the middle of nowhere basically. The ladies that sat us and took our order were very nice. Our waitress never let our glasses get empty.

Was kinda disappointed in most everything... Not a whole lot of flavor, drowned in less than yummy sauces, and mediocre service. Kinda mediocre all the way around...

Good food. I liked the chicken tacos.

The place was clean and very cute; service was outstanding. The food was good and prices were affordable but there was only one vegetarian option. Also, if seated at a table in the middle, you are within inches of the people next to you which for us, was not a pleasant thing.

This evening was our first time eating here. The food was good, the staff was friendly, and the place is tastefully decorated.

Looked all over Texas and New Mexico for Albondigas (Mexican Meatball Soup). EXCELLENT. They have Pozole,too. Next time!Service excellent! Very sweet young lady!More later.

Our waitress was one of the best waitresses that we have ever had! Dinner was fast and very good. I had, for the first time, a beef tamale. It all came out hot. I will definately go back

Their main tool is the microwave. For the prices they are charging they could at least take the time to fire up the stove or oven, to reheat things. They are making someones plate with tacos, beans, and everything, then they microwave the whole plate. That makes tacos soggy.Their sauces are good, thats about it

The night we visited was extremely busy. There were only two waitresses working, and they were excellent in customer service. All the tables were taken care of with over the top service. The food was great and came out timely. Will definitely be back!

Great food, good service. The best in Benson.

Little bit of a wait time (10min) but the food was tasty. We ordered veggie burro in chimichanga style and it was tasty. Their completely salsa and chips are also good.

SOLID, authentic Mexican food. The service is GREAT and the staff was excellent. Our chips never went empty and our glasses never went dry. All the locals seem to come here, which is many times the REAL seal of approval. Right on highway 80 going through Benson.

Love this small, family owned place! Good food, small-town atmosphere...family friendly.
